Barrett Breakfasts

I've decided that it's time I started eating breakfast. Real, hardcore, not fucking around breakfast, not that pansy ass UC bullshit. So I've decided to start making breakfast, probably at about 8:00 am or 8:30.

Right now this project is in the brainstorming phase, so I'd like to get some feedback. Is anyone interested in participating? If so, how frequently? What should be on the menu? I need this information so I can buy materials. Right now I'm thinking Tuesday/Thursday, with different foods on different days.

I plan on doing a test run tomorrow. Andy, Laura, and myself are as of right now the only participants. Comment if you're interested in general, and text me if you want in on the test run so I know how much to make. On the menu right now is:

French toast
Eggs (scrambled, over medium, etc.)
Omelets (fillings may vary)
Oatmeal
Cheerios
Banana pancakes
Bagels and lox
Bacon, if necessary
assorted fruit
Orange juice

The test run will only feature cheerios, french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon cheese omelets, bananas, orange juice, and coffee.

wtfsnow?

How you gonna play me like that, snow? When I arrived at class I was walking through a positive winter wonderland, only to come out 90 minutes later and find it simply wet and cold. You're a jerk, winter weather.

OK FINE

I will post my schedule.

But first I will have you know that I just took the longest shower ever and it was so wonderfully lovely. Sup 35 minutes of hot water.

American Welfare State - GOVT 360 01
FR SEM: Socialsomething aspects of drugs - PSYCH 150 01
Painting Structure - ART 315 01
Principles of Microeconomics - ECON 101 01

and hopefuly
Hinduism - RELG 213

Also what are everyone's plans this weekend? I haven't heard of much going down.

ALSO do any of you guys go to the gym to use machines and whatnot? I really need to start going but I hate going to gyms alone.

Okay I'm still wearing a towel. I'd better get dressed before my roomate gets back and wonders what I am doing.

Schedules?

Seems like we're all posting our schedules, so here's mine:

FR SEM:Confucianism & Daoism - CHIN 150 01
or
FR SEM:Intro to Psychology - PSYC 150 01
Greek Philosophy - CLCV 331 01
Intro to Creative Writing - ENGL 212 05
Latin American Politics - GOVT 338 02
Calculus II - MATH 112 04

Anyways, I'm off to the outlet malls to pick up some gloves, and then I'm going to the York River State Park to check out the bike trails. Hopefully afterwards I'll be able to go to the gym but after any strenuous activity I usually have to set aside about half an hour to hack up a fucking lung. My body still hasn't really gotten with the program on this whole not smoking thing so getting exercise can be tricky. I have to be done by a reasonable hour though so Noelle and I can pick up some materials for Mexican Food Night, which everyone is invited to.

classes

So here I am on the first morning of classes, and already I do not feel like getting out of bed to attend my lecture. Not a good start. Hopefully things shape up a bit.

What classes is everyone taking?
right now I am signed up for:
CSCI 241 - Data Structures
RELG 213 - Hinduism
PSYC 202 - Intro to psych as a social science
ENGL 150w - Fresh Sem: JRR Tolkien and Medieval Code
PHIL 201 - Intro to Philosophy

I am actually pretty excited about my schedule this semester. Aside from discrete math, of course. Good luck with your first day of classes, everyone.

TODAY IS ANDY'S BIRTHDAY

Apparently I am the only one who cares enough to write about Andy's birthday, jerks.

Right now I am full of delicious food because Andy's mom took us out for birthday dinner. MMmmm.

From me, Andy received an awesome haircut and awesome shirt and some other less awesome things. Best girlfriend ever!

We will be back in wburg tomorrow! Excited to see you guys again!

(Except William who I saw at Andy's bday party but who was extremely lame and left like 5 minutes after beer run. LAMELAMELAME)

Sensitive Nipples

I went running last night in a long underwear shirt, and let me tell you my nipples hurt something FIERCE. The cold weather got them all erect and then a combination of repetitive motion of the running and rough fabric of the shirt actually rubbed them raw.

Anyway, I tried singing and dancing in the shower this morning and since I can't sing or dance without music I had to take some speakers and my laptop into the bathroom with me. Unfortunately, my nipples were still so raw that I had to dance without putting them directly into the stream of water. That didn't stop me from getting my freak on though, I jammed out for so long when I finally finished it had been like an hour and a half.

The moral of the story is you shouldn't play music and dance in the shower because it wastes hella copious amounts of water. That and it can be dangerous if there's no grip left on your shower floor and my feet were all soaped up and slippery. Thank god I didn't land on my nipples.

WTF OFFICE?!

What the fuck just happened on the office?! My whole world is turning upside down. I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it. I need an office discussion group.

Does anybody read this?

I am beginning to suspect that due to the combination of infrequent posting and lack of interesting content, no one reads our blog. The solution: n00dz. If we started posting some hawt n00dz regularly I think we could easily triple our viewership. Andy, as the only trifecta member to currently possess both tasteful and high resolution n00dz, I motion you post first.

My second order of business is to plug my sister's new and totally bitchin' blog which focuses on her experiences traveling and studying abroad in Singapore, a tiny island city-state on the tip of the Malay Peninsula in Southeast Asia. Expect stunning photography of the city and fascinating entries with a journalistic flair.

In case anyone was wondering how my Urban Dead career is going, I just completed an ambitious mission to gather statistical evidence proving to the world just how safe my suburb, Lamport Hills, really is. The venture, dubbed Operation GLH, was a raging success and the danger level has been updated to green. Some twenty DEM members came together flawlessly under my instruction. Hopefully the top brass will take note and consider me for the position of Fire Marshall for NE District 2.

In other news, I have decided to become a wine connoisseur. I will be buying a bottle of wine every week for the rest of the school year and anyone who'd like to try it is welcome to come by and have a glass or two with me any time. You see, if we don't educate ourselves on these issues, who will?

Actually, come to think of it, this might do better as a weekly event. Tuesday Tastings, perhaps, or Wino Wednesdays. A suitable name can be found if the idea is implemented. We could make a Facebook group in the style of Muffin Mondays. If we kept it relatively small like Muffin Mondays we could get away with buying less wine, or we could take donations, or both. Thoughts? Input?
